    Advise the design team of the documents required to support the building application

    Liaison with design team to procure the relevant documentation in a timely manner

    Prepare and issue Development Permits to carry out building works to meet the programme

    Fulfil legislative requirements by lodging one copy of approved documentation with Council for archiving purposes

  • Prepare a schedule of critical procedures / documents necessary for the issue of the Certificate of Occupancy

    Provision of ongoing regulatory advice to all members of the project team and the builder during the construction phase

    Liaison with builder, design consultants and relevant authorities to ensure all certification and authority approvals required for Occupancy are provided

    Liaison with builder to procure all necessary contractors certificates

    Review and assessment of certification documentation provided for the project to ensure adequate compliance paperwork is provided

    Liaison with authorities to resolve Occupation related issues

    Undertake final inspections at substantial completion of the building works in order to achieve staged occupation

    Prepare and issue the Certificate of Occupancy

    Fulfil legislative requirements and lodge one copy of the Certificate of Occupancy with Council for archiving purposes

Do I need building Approval?

Most structures for commercial use require building approval to comply with local council, state and federal building laws, such as the Building Act 1975, Building Code of Australia, Queensland Development Codes and other relevant Australian Standards.
